A new benchmark for safety is set by the new Volvo EX90 fully electric premium SUV

On November 9th, Volvo will officially introduce its all-new EX90 premium SUV. While we're waiting, Volvo has provided us with more details about this impressive luxury SUV that will join the Volvo lineup next year with an electric powertrain and innovative safety features. With the new EX90, Volvo hopes to significantly reduce the number of collisions leading to serious injury while also providing owners with even more peace of mind behind the wheel.

This means that it will offer safety features that have never been seen on another vehicle. The EX90 will feature 16 ultrasonic sensors, 8 cameras, and 5 radars for monitoring the surroundings. As well as detecting pedestrians at a distance of up to 250 metres, enhanced LiDAR technology can also detect smaller objects at a distance of 120 metres. Even at night and no matter what speed you are driving, the technology will be able to operate and detect potential dangers from further away than any other vehicle before it.

A number of other technologies will be found inside to monitor the driver and his or her level of attention. Detecting distractions that could lead to collisions is key to reducing serious accidents, and the EX90 will have the necessary technology to do just that. As we await the official introduction of the brand-new fully electric EX90, we look forward to bringing you more information about the upcoming flagship Volvo EV.
